The Art Crowd Event
Islands of LA has been invited to a discussion on Saturday, July 19th from 9:30am – noon at The Art Crowd in Irvine. This will be a small, informal breakfast event where I will present images and have some discussions related to the project. The event is at Phyllis’ house and includes a lovely breakfast.
The Art Crowd was established in 1992 as a way to start a dialogue concerning contemporary art issues. Founded by Phyllis Lutjeans former Curator of Education and Performance Art at the Newport Harbor Art Museum (now the Orange County Museum of Art), the Art Crowd has hosted artists, museum curators, art critics, gallery owners, collectors, art historians etc. To name a few: Daniel Martinez, George Herms, Chrisopher Knight, Paul Schimmel, Llyn Foulkes, Peter Selz. Rachel Rosenthal, Eleano Antin, David Pagel, Henry Hopkins, etc.
